(The letter I sent to my senators on the monster health care plan/reform, AGAIN!)
Regarding the health care plan/reform that the current administration is proposing, please know that the position of myself, along with the majority of Texans have not changed.
You should know that no matter what the focus groups or the high priced lobbyist report on what the people might want, the genuine truth is, ‘We the People’ have not changed our position.
We are at such a critical juncture in our nation and ‘We the People’ want our voices heard and not ignored. We don’t want the proposed government health care reform/plan in any form.
We did not want it when Clinton tried to pass it. We did not want it during this entire first year that the current administration tried to pass it, and we don’t want it now.
Please stand up for Texans and be loud and proud with your conservative values. Take pride in being identified as the party of “No” because that is what your constituents are saying as well.
Senator, I trust that you will represent us in DC, but please understand, if you vote for this health care bill monstrosity we will not support your reelection. I say this with the utmost respect and it is not intended to be threatening in any way. However, we have seen increasing numbers of our representatives in Congress and the Senate become less conservative with their positions, and that is alarming. So thus, it becomes necessary that ‘We the People’ pay attention to every vote and every position to hold our representatives accountable for their actions.
I would also like to point out that if any one of our two Senators choose not to show up and not vote on this critical piece of legislation, it will be considered a vote FOR this plan.
I appreciate all the hard work you have done for Texas, and you have my support as long as you represent us with your high conservative values as fairly and as accurately as you have promised when you took the oath of office.
Thank you for your time Senator.
